James Treadway

James graduated from Harvard College in 2008 before earning master's degrees at Beijing University (2010) in International Relations and at the London School of Economics (2011) in International History. James founded Growth Wise in 2015, beginning as an SAT tutor before authoring Growth Wise's famous SAT/ACT flashcards to now specializing in (1) performance anxiety for test-takers, musicians, and athletes, (2) teaching social skills to teenagers, and (3) coaching parents how to reconnect with their teenager. In 2025, he published his first book, "Answer to Anxious: a Student's Guide to Resolving Test-Taking, Performance, and Social Anxiety."

Nico Krell

Nico is a graduate of Princeton University, where he now serves as a Lecturer. He is from Montevideo, Uruguay and has been a private tutor since 2016. Using his lifetime of international experience, Nico customizes his neuroscience-focused curriculum to empower students to be masters of their own minds: clear on what they need to achieve their dreams and equipped with the tools to succeed.

Maya Vora

Maya graduated Scarsdale High School in Westchester, New York, before becoming a mechanical engineering major at Vanderbilt University, where she is currently a junior.

Declan Gruber

Declan started as a Teach For America (TFA) corps member after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Physics and Spanish. In Milwaukee, Declan taught Algebra 1 and Physics and functioned as an overall math interventionist. He earned a Master's in Secondary Education from Marquette University. Declan currently works in Los Angeles as a teacher's coach for TFA, and as a tutor, he specializes in high school math and science courses, as well as standardized test prep.

Skyler Siegel

Skyler graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2015, majoring in both finance and film. After college, he worked as a trader at Citigroup before transitioning into the film world as a writer.

Elsa Rivers-Moore

Elsa graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 2015 with a BA in Neurobiology. She has been tutoring since 2016 across French (her first language), music theory, essay writing, and test prep. Elsa takes a holistic approach; in addition to tutoring, she is a somatic (mind-body) practitioner with over decade's experience. Her somatic work alleviates mental health symptoms such as anxiety and depression, supporting individuals in finding more joy and fulfillment in their work, relationships, and lives. It's extremely helpful for high school students, too!
